  • Coyote- tan and black fur
  • Desert tortoise- long claws
  • Mojave rattlesnake- very venomous
  • Mtn lion- go a long time without water
  • Round tailed ground squirrel- very little water

  • Joshua tree- soft/rough bark
  • Pinyon tree- very short
  • Cottonwood tree-edible bark
  • Creosote bush- pointy leaves that hold water
  • Common saltbush- covered in leaves that hold water
