The Postal System
Evidence
- sent mail fast
- helped with trade and war
- easy contact system for officials and merchants
Reasoning
It was the first postal system to be created, it was unique and special. Also it helped a lot with wars and sieges. Meanwhile, the Byzantine Empire didn't have a postal system as advanced as the Mongols.

Size
Evidence
- largest empire
- controlled over 40 current day countries
- mostly controlled Asia
Reasoning
The military and leaders were very good, because they were able to take so much land from their rivals. The Byzantine Empire was small compared to the Mongols. Mongol Empire was probably 4 times the size of the Byzantine and the the Byzantine borders expanded and shrieked a lot over the years.

Military
Evidence
- feared for their tactics and weapons
- strongest military
- conquered a lot of rival's land by fighting
- great military leaders
Reasoning
Other rulers and tribes were scared of the Mongols. Even though the Mongols had a small army, they had a lot of power and great weapons. The Byzantine Empire had a bad military, because they lost a lot, had bad leaders, and lost a lot of land.
