MOON
The moon is not a planet but a satellite of the earth.
The surface of the moon is 9.4 billon acres
The moon rotates 10 miles an hour.

MORE FACTS
The moon is about 1/4 the diameter of the earth
49 moons could fit in the earth.

METEROIDS
Meteoroids land on earth as rock and dust.
Meteoroids go through the orbit of earth,Venus, and mars
Meteoroids are made of stone, iron, and carbonaceous.
Meteoroids have the mass of a paper clip.
Some can be as big as a meter and others the grain of salt.
5.
MORE INFO
Meteoroids are made of small elements and compounds.
Meteoroids are located on the outer atmosphere.
Meteoroids break down as they go through levels of the atmosphere.
Meteoroids were made 4.56 billions years ago when earth was created.
500 solid meteoroids reached earths surface.
6.
SATELLITES
Is a machine that orbits the moon planets and stars
NASA has more than a dozen satellites in orbit.
Satellites allow people to see large areas at one time.
Satellites make up the Global Positioning System.
Satellites are launch into space In rockets.
7.
MORE INFORMATION
Since Sputnik 1 was launched 2,500 satellites have been in orbit
Most satellites are in the LEO range
Other satellites stay in geosynchronous orbit
Weather and television satellites stay in the geosynchronous orbit.
In the geosynchronous range the satellites "hover" in orbit.
