- His wife's name was Elizabeth Griswold
- He had 7 kids
- He invented it because he had a problem with communication
- He didn't know that his wife died until a week after it happened

- He was born on April 27, 1791
- He died on April 2, 1872
- He wanted to find a way to communicate faster
You can send it by tapping and flashing lights. There are other ways but those are the main ones people used.

They usually used it in war because if a soldier found something out they could tell other soldiers without getting caught.
