ST. MOTHER CABRINI EARLY LIFE

  • Born in Sant'Angelo Lodigiano, Italy, Frances Cabrini was born two months premature on July 16, 1850
  • Tenth of eleven children, and only one of the four to live past adolescence.
  • Family was very poor but had a very strong catholic faith.

ST. MOTHER CABRINI'S MISSION

  • Traveling the world, Frances ended up in New York in 1889
  • She lived in an Italian ghetto, and did not know any English when arriving to the United States
  • Opened schools, orphanages, convents, and hospitals for those who suffer from poverty.
  • Her feast day is November 13.

  • St. Mother Cabrini fought for justice of the lessee fortunate
  • Pushing for the rights those who were suffering from poverty
  • She was called to the community to serve others

ST. MOTHER CABRINI'S PASSING

  • Died on December 22, 1917.
  • Canonized on November 13 in 1938, making this her feast day.
