MOTHER TERESA

EARLY LIFE

• Blessed Teresa of Calcutta,commonly known as Mother Teresa was a Roman Catholic Religious Sister and missionary
• She was born in today's Macedonia on August 26,1910 with her family being of Albanian descent originating in Kosovo
• Her family was a descent of Albanian originating in Kosovo
• She lived most of her life in India

RELIGIOUS CALLING

• Her religious calling really started at the age of 18
• she decided to become a nun and join The Loreto Sisters of Dublin in Ireland
• She took the name Sister Mary Teresa after Saint Therese of Lisieux
• After all her education, vows, and duties She took her final Profession of Vows
• She then devoted her life to a life of poverty, chastity, and obedience. 

MODERN DAY PROHET

• She founded the Order of the Missionaries of Charities
• She traveled to New York City to show and open her newest American Charity in 1971
• Then in 1985, she unreported went to Beirut,Lebanon
• After spending a few years helping the poor in Lebanon she went back to New York
• and opened the new Gift of Love, which was a house for those who have HIV/AIDS,

CONNECTION TO RUTH

• Mother Teresa gave for those who were hungry, poor, sad, and sick
• like Ruth who also gave for people too
• God sends plagues to Israel, who has ignored the divine warnings issued in the plagues
• In Amos 4:6, “I gave you cleanness of teeth in all of your cities, and lack of bread in all your places, yet you did not return to me”
• Mother Teresa knew that God would not give her something that was too much for her

• She spoke,taught, shared, and spread God’s word through her acts of love and kindness to others.
• Ruth and mother Teresa worked in an adjacent way to eachother,
• they both worked to make the world a better place by helping others with problems and struggles.
• That is what they were all about they spoke and talked about God and told people that
• They should love anyone no matter what they look like and are feeling.
