WHAT ARE THE MAIN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE 2 SYMBOLS?

• Movie clip animation will play on first frame.
• Graphic symbol animation will only play if the number of key frames it is made of is on the timeline.

MOVIE CLIP

• continuously plays a certain animation.
• Cannot see animation play on flash
• Can attach code

GRAPHIC SYMBOL

• You can see animation on timeline
• More control
• You can loop
• Play once(stop loop)
• Single play (make it freeze)

WHAT DOES ONE OFFER THAT THE OTHER MAY NOT?

• With movie clip you can attach code
• With a graphic symbol you can see the animation

• Movie clip plays when you press Command + Enter
