MOZART

• Mozart was born on January 27, 1756 in Austria. From when he was young, he was a prodigy that could play multiple instruments. He composed his first piece when he was five.
• From a young age, he preformed for European royalty.
• When he was 17, Mozart was a court musician in Salzburg, Austria.

MOZART

• In 1777, Mozart quit his job and went to Paris. He was the personal secretary for French nobility. He then went back to Salzburg for the position of organmaster.
• Mozart was then summoned to Vienna, where he later died. He decided to stay there as a freelance composer.
• Mozart was married in August, 1782 to Constanze Weber. They had 6 children.
• He started looking at composers such as Bach and Handel.

MOZART'S LATE LIFE

• Mozart did very little opera writing for the next four years of his life.
• He died in December, 1791 at his home in Vienna.
