cholera, tuberculosis, typhus, typhoid, influenza

Doctors and quacks- the people treating the diseases
Middle aged remedies used
Patients actually got worse from visiting doctor

Poor nutrition
Life expectancy:rural: 45, London: 37, Liverpool: 26
Child mortality rate: 25-33% of children died before 5th birthday
