WHY DID THE MUGHALS TRAVEL TO INDIA?

• The Mughal empire was near the Himalayas(protection)
• Which also gave a possibility of wealth & power
• The weather/ climate was tropical

LEADERS

• Babur 1526-1530 was the first leader of the Mughal Empire
• Shan Jahan 1628-1658 built the Taj Mahall
• Bahadur Shan II1837-1857 he was the last leader of the Mughal Empire

WHO WERE THEY UP AGAINST

• The British,Afghans, Hindu Kingdoms
• Eventually the British conquered, but it took almost 330 years

CONTRIBUTIONS

• Construction of irrigation systems
• Translation of theorems & algebra
• Shanh jahan built the Taj Mahal in 1631 AD
• Babur created the first canons for military purposes

WEAPONS

• Swords
• Bows & arrows
• Cannons & some muskets
• Elephant armor was used to protect the elephants from damage but not the best Calvary

THEIR DECLINE

• The British controlled most of India
• Bahudar Shah the second becomes emperor
• Queen Victoria becomes empress of India
• Britain gained complete controlli
• India becomes the Empire of India
• The British took over due to bankruptcy that the Taj Mahal caused
