WHAT IS MS?

  • A nervous system disease
  • affects the brain and spinal cord, resulting in loss of muscle control,
  • vision, balance, and sensation
  • The brain and spinal cord is damaged by your immune system
  • This is caused when you immune system mistakes your tissue for bacteria and attacks your nervers

HOW DOES IT REALATE TO THE NERVOUS SYSTEM?

  • MS realates to the nervous system because this disease attacked the covering
  • of the nerves leaving them exposed and damaged
  • The signals sent from the nerves to pther parts of your body is weak
  • When touching things your feeling can be almost nonexistent
  • Doesn't only affect your nerves, but that is the biggest affected part

IS THERE A CURE? TREATMENT?

  • Currently there is no cure for MS
  • Some treatments include drugsthat slow
  • down the course of MS.
  • There is four injectable medications, two infusions
  • and one oral medication.

FUN FACTS

  • For every man diagnosed 2 women are as well
  • From the age of 20-50 is when you are first diagnosed
  • First diagnosed in 1849
