History

It was known as the chickapaw seed in the u.s in 1835 when it was grown

Growing Conditions

Mung beans are grown in warm climates and needs 90-120 frost free days also requires up to 8-10 hours of sun daily.

- it grows best in well drained sandy loam soil.

- they are best grown when planted 1-2 inches deep in the soil and each seed 3 inches apart

Agriculture practices

- Mung beans require phosphorus and potassium. The manure has to be aged for 6 months to make sure the pathogens are gone and to increase the nutritional potential.

- They grow best with 5-3 deep waterings during the growing seasons.

Preparation
Farmers use the same combine machinery as the soy beans (which is one known as Crop Tiger 40) but since mung beans are smaller thry adjust the combine setting and change the screen size

Storage
The mung beans should be cleaned from debris before storage. And in storage the beans shouldnt be treated with insecticides, beacteriacides, or fungicides.
