  • An organ system consisting of skeletal, smooth and cardiac muscles. It prevents movement of the body, maintains posture, and circulates blood throughout the body

  • The muscular system does not work in isolation. The most obvious system that interact with muscular system are the skeletal system, the nervous system and the circulatory system. Muscles are also involved in the digestive system, the respiratory system and the immune system

  • The smallest muscles are found in the middle of your ear.
  • Muscles make up 40% of your total body weight
  • It takes half as long to gain muscle then it does to lose it
  • To take on step it takes 200 muscles
  • The tong is the strongest muscle in the body
