The volume of a sound or note

PIANO

Musical dynamic for soft

MEZZO PIANO

Musical dynamic for "moderately soft"

FORTE

Musical dynamic for "loud"

CRESCENDO

To smoothly increase the volume of a particular phrase or passage

DECRESCENDO

To smoothly secrease the volume of a particular phrase or passage

Treble clef: a symbol located at the beginning of a staff to indicate the upper pitches. It's also called the "G Clef" because the symbol curves around the second line of the staff.

Bass clef: a symbol located at the beginning of a staff to indicate the lower pitches. It's also called the "F clef" because the symbol curved around the 4th like of the staff

STAFF

A set of 5 lines & 4 spaces used to clearly show kusocal notation

GRAND STAFF

A staff that combines a treble & bass staff

KEY SIGNATURE

The sharps/flats located at the beginning of a piece to indicate the tonality

DOUBLE BAR LINE

Distance of 2 notes next to each other (ex. G to g#) on piano=white 2 black key

WHOLE NOTE

Distance of 2 half steps
