1. HAIKU DECK

  • This app allows for very professional looking presentations.
  • I find the app very user-friendly. Students should have no trouble using this app
  • I especially like the ability to seamlessly utilize open source images.

Deutsche
Welle

2. DEUTSCHE WELLE

  • DW's App is great for the German language classroom.
  • It provides students with current news from the German-speaking world.
  • For articles that are difficult to understand, there is the option to change the language to English if necessary.
  • It is a treasure trove of authentic material.

Google
Drive

3. GOOGLE DRIVE

  • Google Drive is an app that allows students and teachers to collaborate on shared work.
  • I have been using Google Drive in my AP European history class for the last two years.
  • Students can easily upload their essays for submission. It allows me to make digital notes on those essays and share them back with the students.

Duolingo

4. DUOLINGO

  • Duolingo is a language learning app for students.
  • A student selects a language that they're working with and then duolingo allows them to practice the language in a fun way.
  • The app is set up like a game, so the student feels they are playing instead of learning.

TuneIn
Radio

5. TUNEIN RADIO

  • TuneIn is a free app that allows students to search radio stations all over the world.
  • A student could search by genre or language.
  • Give students the opportunity to listen to real-time German radio.
  • Another opportunity for the student to use the target language outside of the classroom.
