MY EPIC GREEK ADVENTURE

Hello, my name is Jimmy and I have just arrived in Greece. Everything is knew to me and I want to see Sparta. "Will you help me"? "Yes", lets go! I arrived here in 1276 BCE on a merchant ship. The journey was rough because I had no maps nor compasses. It was also very dark because there was no lighthouses.

When I got to land I saw a farm and was very curious so I went to explore. The farming land was very small and there was no major rivers flowing by. I met a family on the farm and they were really nice to me and they let me stay with them for a while. When it was time for me to go they gave me a horse, a carriage, and some food.

Greece was a very hard place to travel considering that you couldn't go over the mountains and the roads were unpaved. Another reason why it was difficult was because there was no maps and compasses so I didn't know where I was going.

I had no clue what city I was in but I knew I couldn't survive alone so I decided to make a colony for my safety and well being. I asked Apollo the oracle if I was worthy of building a colony. He replied "Yes". I jumped with joy and traveled the cities asking citizens if they'd like to join my colony. The more members joined the more said yes.
I sent some of my members to Asia Minor on merchant ships to find farmland and come back to tell us. Now that we had lots of colonists we could trade more goods. Because we had so much olive oil and pottery we traded that for things we needed like grain, metal, and timber. If it wasn't for this great colony I wouldn't have made it to Sparta and had a great life.
