Slide Notes

Start with your name and the name of your project. In some cases, a presentation will start with an attention-grabbing opening, an anecdote, a dramatic stat or fact, or a question for the audience. These devices help to engage the audience, grab everyone's attention, and establish your confidence as you get going.

APATATIONS

  • Adaptations help insects survive in the wild .
  • Some insects use camouflage, flight, or even their legs.
  • Camouflage helps insects blend in with their environment.
  • Flight allows insects to escape predators easily and get to areas a normal insect wouldn’t be able to get to.
  • Some insects have really strong legs allowing some to hop or to fight against predators.
Explain what the project/product/service actually is. What does it do? How does it work in very simple terms. This could be a short "elevator pitch" summary of your project so that people know exactly what project you're pitching.

SIZE

  • The small size of insects help them thrive in the wild .
  • It allows them to hide from predators and lurk around without being noticed .
  • Their size helps them live in vast landscapes because they aren’t as big as other creatures .
Explain why this product/service is needed and provide some context for your project. Why is the problem worth solving?

REPRODUCTION

  • Insects have a method to reproduction that allow them to thrive.
  • Most insects reproduce hundreds of eggs at a time which can help the chance that an egg survives.
  • Insects also have very small eggs so they are hidden to the naked eye and away from danger and predators
  • Insects also produce off spring in a short succession with each other,so they are able to create vast amounts of eggs in a short span of time.

EVOLUTION

  • The evolution of an insect can help the thrive and flourish.
  • Metamorphosis is when a bug goes into a new stage in its life.
  • This helps insects because they are able to adapt and change because meal worms aren’t able to do much in the early stages of life but when they become darkling beetles they are able to harvest water from fog.
  • In the early stages of life a painted lady butterfly can only grow and eat but when they go through metamorphosis they gain the ability to fly.
How will people find out about this product/service/Web site/project? Mentioning vaguely that you'll use social media to get the word out is generally not sufficient. It's important to explain how you'll raise awareness for this in a marketplace that is increasingly cluttered with all sorts of new apps/sites/products/services launching every day. What techniques/tactics/tools will you use, or how will you go about taking advantage of existing or new platforms to reach your intended audience? How will you measure progress in reaching your audience? What will success look like in reaching your audience? What are key metrics/performance indicators that you'll be assessing as your project moves forward?

MADAGASCAR HISSING COCKROACH

  • Madagascar hissing cockroaches use many techniques to survive out in the wild.
  • To begin, these cockroaches have a wax like shell that prevents water from entering inside them.
  • Their shell also protects their exoskeleton that isn’t very strong.
  • These cockroaches know how to swim for a time which can allow them to escape certain situations.
  • Cockroaches also use their antennas to locate object and to figure out is something is a solid so they could safely walk on it.
  • One more fact I’ve learned is that cockroaches can climb vertically on wall allowing them to get in tedious locations.
How will you make ends meet? What do you expect your primary three, five or 10 costs will be? What do you expect your primary revenue streams to look like, and how long do you expect it might take for you to get to that point? Why will people pay for your service/product and how will the value proposition differ from other products/services people are paying for?

INTERESTING FACTS

  • An interesting fact know about cockroaches is that they can withstand radiation to a certain level.
  • Another fact I learned is that insect are very creative with the ways they survive int the wild ranging from flying to camouflage.
  • In this unit, I’ve learned that cockroaches are good at swimming and they can crawl a tight rope extraordinarily well.
Fill in additional information here that will answer questions lingering in the audience. What does the competitive landscape look like? What are some obstacles you anticipate you'll have to overcome? How will your design approach distinguish your project? What unique approach/vision/ideals do you have that inform the project in progress?
