PRESENTATION OUTLINE
My name is Roxie the Rock. I started out as the shell on Robert the Crab's back.
Little did I know, Robert would soon die leaving me to be crushed up by the pounding surf.
Before I knew it, I was simply a pile of sediment on the Sea floor.
As the years passed, more and more sediment piled on top of me, turning me into the sedimentary rock of Limestone.
As weathering, erosion and deposition occurred, I soon found myself melting into liquid magma.
Then I was oozing out of a volcano to soon cool, and become solid igneous rock known as basalt.
Weathering and erosion took it's toll on me until I found myself in the sea as a sediment once again.
Pressure and compaction turned me back into limestone again.
Except this time, heat and pressure changed me into the metamorphic rock called marble.
I have to admit, I was pretty lucky to be able to undergo the specific steps to become marble. So I decided to stay for a few million years.
By now, weathering and erosion was getting kind of annoying, but I put up with it once again and became part of rich soil.
I was then absorbed into the roots of a plant, and am now called Roxie the Magnolia Tree.
