THE PROGRAM

  • I'm involved with the bike project at Milton country park
  • I undertake my duties every Tuesday at Noah's in which I set up the tables and fill up the jugs
  • I'm the chairman at Sawston old people home and responsible for the dominoes and doing the drinks every Friday
  • I hang out with Ryan.D ,Pat, Zoe , Mazza , Kim and Sarah and Darren

HEALTH ISSUES

  • Start of the year Aaran had alot off doctor and hospital visits ๐Ÿ˜ญ Feet, Skin , eyes, tiredness and sickness
  • My dentist says my teeth are looking very good ๐Ÿ˜
  • My healthy eat plan is going very well ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  • I get my hair cut done by Angela every 5 weeks
  • Kim cuts my nails every 2 weeks
  • Nikki relaxation massage once a month
  • Orthotics for made to measure shoes

HEALTH ISUES

  • Current low in Vitamin D and Calcium,being monitored regularly by blood tests at local surgery.
  • Chiropodist every 6 weeks at Linton (at one point ongoing ingrowing toe nail)
  • Anxiety
  • Not being able to choose the appropriate clothing
  • Haematology
  • legs - verrucas veins were a problem but they were removed which has helped me allow to do more exercise

RISKS

  • Noise - anxiety when out.
  • Street wise - not knowing where he is, unable to use public transport without support. Use of money and value of items. Unable to cross road, not knowing of dangers, stranger danger
  • Food / hygiene - knowing if food is cooked, choking when eating to quickly, not getting the right balanced diet and fluid intake, cleanliness of the kitchen and storage of food, handwashing. Use of chemicals

RISKS

  • Understanding and communicating - communication barrier if not with support.
  • Security - Being safe in the right environment. Who is entering the house?
  • Finance abuse , money
  • Electrical appliances, washing, knifes, cooker use when without support
  • Dressing , tiredness , personal care
  • Attending doctors, dentist, hospital, outpatient clinic ,

CHALLENGES

  • Aaran finds it hard to cope with; coughing, shouting, changes in general, sneezing, clapping, crying ,dogs, telling us how he feels.
  • What we do... Take Aaran away from situation and give him time to think. Deep breathing techniques learnt from Nikki for helping stress management.
  • Currently attending music therapy
  • We would like to help more on how he can cope when he is distress.
  • Unable to express what's wrong
  • Repetitive behaviour

CHALLEGES

  • Unable to regonise an emergency & not able to get help
  • Totally vulnerable to every aspect of life & dependant on 24hr support to keep him safe, healthy & to access his essential need to ensure health & well being
  • unable to go anywhere on my own. need support all the time
  • Needing constant supervision at night
  • Unable to say when he is in pain and where it hurts
