My School Vision: Google G Suite

I want to implement Google G Suite into my school in order to:

Personalize student learning

Transform student learning and teacher instruction

Engage students in their learning

Make collaboration and communication more effective through the use of technology.

The apps available through Google G Suite that I plan to implement at my school:

Google Classroom

Google Classroom:

  • A blended learning platform
  • Allows teachers to create, distribute, and grade documents for students in a paperless way
  • Provides students with access to their homework and assignments, at home or at school, via any digital tool.

Gmail

Gmail:

  • Can be used by teachers, administrators, students, and parents for communication
  • Can be used to share files
  • Can be easily accessed by any digital device (i.e. iPad, phone, laptop) to make communication faster and easier

Google Docs

Google Docs:

  • Allows teachers to share lesson plans with administrators before observation & administrators can comment directly on the lesson plan
  • Students and teachers can share assignments via Google Docs & teachers can provide feedback directly on the Google Doc
  • Allows students to collaborate with peers on projects/homework at home or at school

Google Slides

Google Slides:

  • Teachers can create lessons to share with students, allowing students to take notes or make comments on the slides
  • Students can collaborate on projects and presentations via Google Slides
  • Administrators can create and share staff presentations via Google Slides & staff can comment on the presentation

Google Forms

Google Forms:

  • Administrators can create and send out surveys via Google Forms to teachers, staff, or parents
  • Teachers can create Google Forms for students to complete
  • Students can create Google Forms for peers
  • Allows you to analyze data collected

Google Sheets

Google Sheets:

  • Administrators can collect and track data through Google Sheets
  • Spreadsheets can be sent out to teachers, for example when collecting classroom/student data or filling out boxes for hours spent on certain areas over the school year

Implementing Google G Suite can help my vision for integrating technology in my school come to life!
