STRENGTHs FINDER 2.0

ACCORDING TO THE EXPERTS FROM
Strengths Finder 2.0: http://strengths.gallup.com/110440/About-StrengthsFinder-20.aspx

When I went to UW Foster MBA Program, a professor recommended this leadership assessment. The concept is, instead of trying to fix weaknesses, people develop better professional and personal lives when they recognize and continuously develop their top strengths.

MY TOP 5 THEMES ARE

  • Maximizer
  • Individualization
  • Focus
  • Learner
  • Discipline
So here are my top 5 strengths!

In the next couple slides, I included the link to the official description of each strength in the note section, also selected some of "oh my god this is totally me" quotes.

MAXIMIZER

TRANSFORM GOOD INTO SUPERB
Maximizer: http://businessjournal.gallup.com/content/697/maximizer.aspx

"Taking something from below average to slightly above average takes a great deal of effort and in your opinion is not very rewarding. Transforming something strong into something superb takes just as much effort but is much more thrilling."
"Strengths, whether yours or someone else's, fascinate you."

INDIVIDUALIZATION

DRAW OUT THE BEST IN EACH PERSON
Individualization: http://businessjournal.gallup.com/content/685/individualization.aspx

"You instinctively observe each person's style, each person's motivation, how each thinks, and how each builds relationships."

FOCUS

SET GOAL, PRIORITIZE, THEN ACT
Focus: http://businessjournal.gallup.com/content/670/focus.aspx

"Each year, each month, and even each week you set goals. These goals then serve as your compass, helping you determine priorities and make the necessary corrections to get back on course."
"When others start to wander down other avenues, you bring them back to the main road."

LEARNER

DESIRE CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVEMENT
Learner: http://businessjournal.gallup.com/content/694/learner.aspx

"The process, more than the content or the result, is especially exciting for you. You are energized by the steady and deliberate journey from ignorance to competence."

P.S. My recent passion is to learn snowboarding, which explains my choice of image here.
