PRESENTATION OUTLINE
My View of The Holy Spirit
I view the Holy Spirit as many things. The first view is as a burning flame that shows the bravery, courage and persistence that Jesus sent upon the 12 Disciples on Pentecost Day.
The other view is as a dove that shows peace the disciples showed the world by serving God with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Another way to see it is by water. The water shows how calm the disciples reacted with the help of the Holy Spirit when the Romans were trying to catch and kill them. Water can also symbolize the relationship between John the Baptist and Jesus
Oil is a very important symbol of the Holy Spirit. It's used in 4 Sacraments, Baptism which uses 2 oils which are the Oil of Catechumens and Sacred Chrism, Confirmation which only uses Sacred Chrism, Holy Order which also only uses Sacred Chrism and lastly there's The Anointing of the Sick which uses Oil of the Sick.
To receive the Holy Spirit you must receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. To truly understand the Holy Spirit you must study a lot but you must also pray truly and work to acheive goals.
This is one of many ways to view the Holy Spirit.
