• He ruled over the country of Phrygia
• He was a rich greedy king
• He lived in a huge kingdom with lots of people

DIONYSUS

• Dionysus was the God of Wine and Reverly
• One day Midas found a satyr in his garden and brought him to Dionysus
• Dionysus gave Midas one wish

THE WISH

• Midas wished that whatever he touched would turn gold
• The next day he went around his castle turning everything golden
• Then he went to hug his daughter and she turned golden this destroyed Midas

THE CURE AND AFTERMATH

• He went back to Dionysus and pleaded for him to take away his curse
• Dionysus told him to wash his hands in the river
• He washed them and the gold drained out from his skin into the river and everything that was golden went back to its original state
• He then became a better king and a better man
