A RENAISSANCE MAN WITH A BETTER PLAN

  • He was a strong believer in both god and science
  • Believed that when the two are combined, that is true wisdom.
  • Thought that knowledge only came from a sensory experience
  • Also a jurist, orator, and author
  • Ironically died of pneumonia while studying effects of freezing meat
