WHAT IS IN NAIL POLISH?
Nail polish is a mixture of Plasticizers, dyes and pigments, opalescent pigments, adhesive polymers, thickening agents, and ultraviolet stabilizers.

HISTORY OF NAIL POLISH
Nail polish originated in China and dates back to about 3000 BC
Back then nail polish was made of more natural substances such as beeswax, egg whites, gelatin, vegetable dyes, and gum Arabic.

In Eygpt, around 3000 BC, men and women wore nail polish to show social class.
People of a higher class wore different variations of red or used a brown/red henna on their tips.
People of a lower class often wore very pale nail polish or none at all.

As years went on people developed different ways to create brighter colors and different designs.
The brighter the color, the more likely there are more chemicals.

Back in time, nail polish was a very time consuming process.
Now nail polish dries within minutes, but back then it took several hours.
Women often applied nail polish before bed and it would hopefully be dry by morning.

Nail polish use to be sold by traders, they traded nail polish for spices, and recipes, sometimes even coins or animals.
Nail polish was sold in cream form and paste form.
They both worked by being buffed into your nails until shiny.

Nail polish is marketed by quality.
If you get a very cheap nail polish the less likely it is to stay on your nail throughout the day.
The nail polishes that are a little more expensive have been more concentrated and will stay on the longest

At the end of the day nail polish is just an accessory to make people feel good.
