PRESENTATION OUTLINE
SYNOPSIS:
This story is about a beast called the Namorrodor that's came from the stars and hunts for food at night, he smelt meat cooking and went to investigate and found a little baby and thought it a nice meal, He tried to take the baby but as he did it's father (a witch doctor) attacked and killed the beast.
The story of Namorrodor is about a terrifying spirit that tries to steal and eat a woman's baby, The smell of meat attracts the Namorrodor, The story is told to children to scare them to go to bed on time.
It is spoken about that the only person that can kill the Namorrodor is a medicine man or witch doctor and with a flaming Spear which is what happened in this story.
The story of the Namorrodor was passed down through the generations of aboriginals mothers and was told to their kids at night, It is said that 'he' lives in a cave and at night he hunts for food, If you ever cook meat at night or it will attract the beast.
This story was first made up in Arnhem Land and spread on from their as a myth that is still told by aboriginal parents to this day. It has spread thoughout the aboriginals of Australia
In modern day society this story can be used by parents to tell their kids to scare them to go to bed on time or the Namorrodor will come and get them and eat them.
