WHO WERE THEY?
Naomi was a normal woman living with her family in a place called Moab.
During a Famine, Naomi's husband dies, and she is now a widow.
Naomi is not alone though, as she has her two sons.
She then gets her two sons married, and she lives with her new family for 10 years.
Her two sons then die.
Naomi, Ruth, and Orpah are now three widows who are heartbroken.
Orpah decides to go to her home to re-marry after Naomi tells her to.
Ruth decided to stay with Naomi and do everything with her including die with her.
Both of them moved to Bethlehem, Ruth got married, had a child, and Naomi took care of the child.

WHERE WERE THEY fROM?
Naomi is originally from Moab.
Ruth then moved to Moab to marry Naomi's son
After her sons died, they both moved to Bethlehem

HOW WERE THEY CONNECTED TO JUDAISM?
Their story is in the Bible, and it is called Book Of Ruth, and their story is read on the Jewish holiday called Shavuot

SIGNIFICANCE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF JUDAISM
Naomi and Ruth's story is important to the development of Judaism, because of Ruth's loyalty and unwavering friendship.
