• Creates less powerful Catholic Church
• Creates religious tolerance
• Helps france by allowing different people to come to the country
• Recognized Catholicism as "Faith of Frenchmen
• Government control of church lands

FRENCH SOCIETY

• Fired corrupt officials
• This helped lower corruption throughout the whole government system
• Appointed officials by merit
• Created code of laws
• Created public edication

THE NAPOLEONIC CODE

• Gave the country a uniform set of laws
• This gave everybody a code to follow and live their lives by
• It also got rid of many injustices
• Code took away some rights that women had won durring the revolution
• It limited liberty and promoted order and authority over individual rights

THE EMPIRE

• Most popular dictator of France
• Helped france because it made his job easier to direct France in the right direction
• He was given the position of first consul for life with the right to name his successor
• Created new nobility, set up a court, and changed the titles of government officials
• Did not change much for average frenchman or they noticed very little difference

TAXES

• Taxes were efficient
• Helped france because it created equittible tax system
• Sets up national bank
• Stabilized currency
• Makes a stable economy

DICTATORSHIP

• France begins to regain stabillity
• Created government ran schools (lycées)
• Supported laws that strengthened central government
• Tried to achieve some goals of the revolution
• Less government corruption
