• Lastly, it keeps the people happy (people want to learn)

NAPOLEON ORDERED THE BUILDING OF NEW ROADS, CANALS, AND BRIDGES

• This causes easier transportation in and out of the country
• Which means trade, inport and export because easier
• As a result, France will be come richer

LEGION OF HONOUR

• Was awarded to hardworking people
• This gave people in, military a reason to fight harder to be honored with a medal

GETTING RID OF FEUDALISM

• peasants no longer needed to pay for freedom
• no longer paid the tithe to the church
• peasants got their land free

CONCORDAT

• Bishops were to be chosen by Napoleon
• This meant that the government now had greater control over the Church
• This gave the government more say on how the French followed there religion

THE NAPOLEON CODE

• All people were declared equal before the law
• There were no longer any special privileged for Nobles, Churchmen or rich people
• Trail by Jury was guaranteed
• Parents were given powers over their children
