Narcissis isn't the most known figure in Greek myth but his story is one of the most famous myth of origin

THE STORY

I'll start from the climax. "Kill me" cried echo. And Aphrodite took pity on her and she pined away and died. But Aphrodite said "He shall be punished for what he did." And had him look into a puddle and fall deeply in love with himself. "Water nymph be mine!" And drowned himself.
