Narration

composition I

narration

telling of a story or set of stories

Narration can be a great way to connect with readers in an essay

Be sure to only tell this story at the beginning of a paper's introduction

Some exceptional cases for narration:
Social/behavioral sciences when observing patients
Law enforcement/law practice when dealing with eyewitnesses or participants in events

suggestions

  • The most important part to ANY narrative is always the conflict/problem
  • Once this is introduced, the details that follow will help resolve the conflict and rise to a climax that will determine the outcome of the story then it ends by the resolution it has come to (or not--sometimes stories stop unresolved and are resumed later)
