  • This product has an example of a fair trade product, you can see the fair trade logo, To make the product fair trade the farmer who has grown or harvested the product needs to have a fair amount of price.

WHAT IS FAIR TRADE?

  • Fair trade was started by an organisation that ensures and protects farmers and producers in 3rd world and poor countries from being exploited or bullied by larger wealthy companies from buying their produce at a cheap price. This fair trade protection ensures the farmer gets payed fairly.

SUGAR CANE

  • New Zealand's Sugar cane comes from Fiji but mostly Australia. The sugar cane plant is 2 to 6 metres (6 to 19 feet tall.)
