WHY DO THESE DATES MATTER?
In Latin America, many countries weren't originally independent
Nationalism, or showing pride for one's country, is basically this entire timeline!
A lot of these were independences, such as Brazil, Peru, etc.
Without nationalism, these countries may not be independent, and
that's what this entire unit is about! Nationalism! :)
