KARANKAWAS

  • The Karankawas were a Native American tribe.
  • They lived along the Gulf Coast of Texas

  • The Karankawas had lots of wildlife,berries,plants,and roots to eat.

SHELTER

  • The Karankawas lived in a shelter made of trees woven into framework
  • The framework looks like a half-sphere and they covered it in grass mats.

  • The men wore breechcloths.
  • The women wore grass skirts.
  • Children often went naked.
  • There were many bugs so the people used mud to protect their skin.

TOOLS

  • They made tools from wood, bones, sea shells, and cane.
  • They made knives, scrapers, arrows, spear points out of flint and chert stone.
  • They also have baskets.
