  • Natural gas is a nonrenewable energy source.
  • It can not be replenished in a human time frame. 
  • After the natural gas is extracted it is treated at gas plants.

how does natural gas work?

  • One method  is to burn the gas in a boiler to produce steam.
  • Then is used by a steam turbine to generate electricity 
  • Another method is to burn the gas in a combustion turbine
