The natural resources for Southwest are animals,
Oil: Many other countries depend on the oil in the Southwest region for energy needs.
Oxygen: In the Southwest region they also need oxygen like us.
Natural gas: The southwest region has been working on exploring and reproducing natural gas in the United States.
Water: 85% of the water in the southwest is used on agriculture.
The Hohokam were the first Native Americans to live in the Southwest region.
