THE UNITED STATES REQUIREMNTS
Must be in the US for 3 years if a spouse is in the country and 5 if not
Must be at least 18 years old
Must reside in the district/state where you're applying for the last 3 months
Must be able to speak basic English
Must be a person of good moral
Must support the US constitution
Must take Oath of Allegiance to the US
Must know the fundamentals of US history and principles of the government

You have been outside of the US for 30 months or more
You are a US solider who abandoned
During the last five years you have taken a trip that lasted one year or longer

SWEDISH CITIZENSHIP PROCESS
Fill out an application for citizenship
Print out the application
Submit the application to the migration agency
Enclose your national passport, travel documents, or aliens passport
If you don't have a national passport, enclose the originals of other identity documents from your country of origin

Have a permanent residence permit, a right of residence, or residence card, in Sweden
Have lived in Sweden for at least 5 years
