• Prepare form for naturalization process
• Submit your application
• Go to a biometrics appointment

• Go to an interview to complete the naturalization process
• Receive a decision from the USCIS
• Receive a notice to take the oath of allegiance
• Take The Oath of Allegiance to the United States
• Understand US citizenship

THE UNITED STATES REQUIREMNTS

• Must be in the US for 3 years if a spouse is in the country and 5 if not
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must reside in the district/state where you're applying for the last 3 months
• Must be able to speak basic English
• Must be a person of good moral
• Must support the US constitution
• Must take Oath of Allegiance to the US
• Must know the fundamentals of US history and principles of the government

YOU CANNOT GET CITIZENSHIP IN THE US IF,

• You have been outside of the US for 30 months or more
• You are a US solider who abandoned
• During the last five years you have taken a trip that lasted one year or longer

SWEDISH CITIZENSHIP PROCESS

• Fill out an application for citizenship
• Print out the application
• Submit the application to the migration agency
• Enclose your national passport, travel documents, or aliens passport
• If you don't have a national passport, enclose the originals of other identity documents from your country of origin

TO BECOME A SWEDISH CITIZEN YOU MUST,

• Be able to prove your identity
• Have reached the age of 18
• Have a permanent residence permit, a right of residence, or residence card, in Sweden
• Have lived in Sweden for at least 5 years
• Have conducted yourself well in Sweden
