NATURE

By: Ben Whelan

Ben is not happy in society. He feels unimportant, and as if he is the same as everyone else.

However, he has a close friend called Nature. Nature makes him feel like himself, and helps him to learn about life.

Ben's life becomes simplified when he is with nature. It comforts him through his struggles, and inspires him to carry on.

Ben connects with nature in order to appreciate it. Through this connection, he is a transparent eyeball, observing the world and learning from its events.

However, his observations were interrupted when he soon fell from his perch. He quickly found the courage to forgive and laugh off the pain!

These scars demonstrate to Ben that even the most comforting things in life can cause pain! Although it hurts him occasionally, nature's helping far outweighs the hurting.

As a transparent eyeball, Ben continues to observe and learn from the many examples that nature provides to him.

From his new perch, Ben spots this dead tree. He notices that the surrounding trees are holding it up, even though it has broken. From this sight, ben realizes that even in the worst of times, his close friends and family are always there for him as supporters and inspiration to keep going.

While exploring, Ben came across a dirty, old dog toy. It proved to him that the material items in life aren't necessary; they eventually lose their worth, becoming useless wastes of money and space.

In a ditch deep in the forest, Ben discovered a rock covered with broken glass. This broken glass could have once been an expensive, beautiful work of art. Now, it's just a mound of glass, hidden from society.

To end his adventure for the day, Ben stopped and took in the beautiful flowers. He instantly felt at ease when their aroma filled the air.

Look how happy he is! Ben's trip to become closer with nature has been a success. He feels happier and more in tune with the world than he ever has before.
