THE NAVAJO TRIBE

DAY TO DAY OF MY TRIBE

  • Leaders of my tribe Hoskininni also know as hush-kaaney (mean angry one.)
  • Daily life activities. Hunt sheep also know as mutton for wool and food
  • Crops corn,beans,squash,melons,pumpkins,and fruit.

FAMOUS PERSON OF THE TRIBE

  • Henry Chee Dodge was the last official head chief and first tribal chairman.
  • He was famous for being the last official head chief and first tribal chairman of the Navajo tribe.

TRIBAL HOME

  • They lived in southwestern United States. Arizona and New Mexico.
  • They made their house out of wooden poles,tree bark and mud. It's called hogans.

TRIBAL TRADITIONS

  • Navajo ceremonial songs Ethkay-Nah-Ashi
  • Stories skinwalkers

MY TRIBES MAIN BELIEFS

  • Spider woman and the holy ones.
  • Their animal spirits or tokens for the tribe. Skinwalkers.
  • Things that they must do or the must do as a tribe. Women have to cook and clean and men is hard work and hunting.

THEY ARE LOCATED IN

  • Arizona and New Mexico
  • They stay together in reservations

TRIBAL SERVICES AND BEING OFFERED TO PEOPLE

  • U.S. Gov gives $554 million
  • Heath very good with 6 hospital and 7 Heath centers and 15 Heath stations.
