prerequisites

• ASVAB Scores 
• Physical requirements 
• Currently Serving or be in the delayed entry program
• Meet the medical standards 
• pass a background check 

Physical screening test

• 500 yard swim-12.00 minutes 
• 42 push ups-2.00 minutes
• 50 sit ups-2.00 minutes
• 4 pull ups-2.00 minutes 
• 1.5 mile run-12.00 minutes

Training and schooling

• complete 9 weeks of basic training 
• 4 weeks at aircrew candidate school in Pensacola Florida
• 5 weeks of search and rescue swimmer training in Pensacola Florida
• 18 weeks of Naval Aviation schooling in Pensacola Florida 
• 2 weeks at SERE school 

Advanced training

• Swift water
• High seas  
• Cave rescue 
• Cliff rescue 
• EMT training 

Senior enlisted members

• Weapons Instructors
• Schoolhouse Instructors
• Master rappellers/instructors

Pay range

• increases with rank 
• flight and special duty assignment pay
• 8,000 dollar enlistment bonus
• normal pay/allowances
