- What is a raising agent?
- It is a way to increase different types of food
THERE ARE 4 RAISING AGENT WHICH IS CHEMICAL , PHYSICAL,BIOLOGICAL AND MECHANICAL
- The Mechanical is when air is added into the mixture using techniques such as sieving
BIOLOGICAL
- Biological is when the raising agent which is yeast that is also use to make alcohol is destroyed in the oven
CHEMICAL
- Is when the agents creates bubbles of carbon dioxide which helps the mixture rise
PHYSICAL
- Is when the cook does the air into the mixture
RECIPE
- 100g of flour
- 200ml of milk
- 3 eggs
- And a pinch of salt
METHOD
- Preheat the oven high temperature (220degrees)
- Add a small amount of oil to each muffin tin
- Put it into the oven
- Measure the ingredients and then add the egg first with a pinch of salt then add the milk gradually
- Then we add the flour and give it a mixture
- We take of our tin from the oven ( it got to be really hot so it can fry the Yorkshire a bit)
- We add the mixture by same amounts in each tin and then we put it into the oven for about 15-20 minutes
RESULTATS
- It was faster to cook
- A bit Greasy
- The first time we did the milk it was browner
- The last time we add the milk it was Lumpy with lots of spots
INGREDIENTS
- 33g flour
- 200ml of milk
- A pinch of salt
- 3 eggs
- 33g of self raising flour
THE METHOD WAS THE SAME WITH THE LAST ONE
THIS IS THE RESULT OF STRONG, PLAIN AND SELF-RAISING FLOUR
WE DID THE SAME METHOD BUT THIS TIME WE ADDED MORE OIL IN THE TIN
