  • Ngubengcuka- the thembu king and nelson's great grandfather.
  • Gadla henry mpakanyiswa- father of nelson and the village chief of mverzo.
  • Nosekeni nkedama- nelson's mother and the third wife.

Plot:
The story is about Nelson Mandela's life as the grandson of the Thembu King and a major descendant of the Royal Family's dynasty.

EVENTS

  • Nelson Mandela was born in the simple surroundings of the banks of the Mbashe River in Thembuland.
  • His relation with his great grandfather marked influence on both his character and fortune.
  • In his culture, he referred the other wives of his father as "mother". And "brothers and sisters" to his step-siblings.
  • In their village, Qunu, the people dyed their blankets red ochre because it is said to be beloved by ancestral spirits.
  • Nelson started to be a farm boy at the age of 5, he learned to raise cows and look after cattle.
  • He spent most of his time playing under the sun with children around his age.
