NELSON ROLIHlAHAL MANDELA

THE MAN WHO FOUGHT FOR THE RIGHTS OF BLACK PEOPLE

Nelson Mandela was an ANC member of politics, he stood up against white people being apart from black people and giving them the same rights as white people. For standing up against the white government, he was placed in jail at Robben, Island Cape Town, South Africa for 27 years and still stood up for what he believed was right.

Once he was released the majority of black people voted for him as their president, some white people also voted as they thought he could help stop the hatred, he was elected on the 10th May 1994 as the first black president of South Africa. His time as president stopped apartheid and let everyone join in what was usually the opposite that would happen. He let white people and black people would share the same toilets, bus rides, schools and everything that the White wouldn't share.
