The Neo-Babylonians rose around the time of 605 BC, around that time there was a civil war going on in Assyria, and with the lead of Nebuchadrezzar who later became the king of Neo-Babylonian. After the Assyria fell, Nebuchadrezzar was angry that The Babylonian empire ended, so he called his new empire Neo-Babylonian Neo means new. The Neo-Babylonian were famous for their battle strategies and fighting skill, not only did they have strength they also were also great at math and astronomy. The developed the 7 days in a week and the 24 hours a day system. The Neo-Babylonians also rebuilt the Zigguarts. The Neo-Babylonian empire didn't last that long, the Neo-Babylonian empire only lasted for 75 years around the 539 BC the Neo-Babylonian empire fell.

Once upon a time, there was an empire with a ruthless military leader that lived in a land named Mesopotamia. The leader, Nebuchadrezzar II, was upset that his former empire had failed and was taken over by a different empire. He tried to restore the beauty and power of the empire, which he named the Neo-Babylonian Empire after the former empire of Babylonia, and he finally succeeded. Nebuchadrezzar was excited that he was back in power, but he knew that he would have to secure his spot at the top by protecting the capital city of Babylonia

Daily life in the Neo-Babylonian Empire was very hard and required lots of work. Nebuchadrezzar II made the ilding of the surrounding walls and moats a priority. He wanted the safety of Babylonia to be exceptional. The farmers of Babylonia grew and harvested crops for the city and to maintain their stable food supply. Blacksmiths made weapons and technological necessities for the army and the people. The architects helped to build new structures, homes, and temples. Nebuchadrezzar was pleased in how his empire was growing, and he thought he should be able to control and conquer more land from former empires.

The Neo-Babylonian Empire was at complete power, and it was a marvelous view to see. The citizens lived in glory and full luxury. Most of the residents went to the marvelous temples to worship their gods every week, and the officials attended the ziggurat almost every day. The farmers and the blacksmiths made sure that there was a stable food supply and many different types of weapons for the people and the soldiers.

Nebuchadrezzar II was pleased with his empire and what it had accomplished in the last 75 years. They had first taken over Mesopotamia to make the empire, which was a great deal to do. Then they had made walls, thick enough for two chariots to pass each other on, and moats outside them. His people had created the very first sundial, and the time that went with it. They introduced the 7 days in a week system, and the 24 hours in a day system. He had them make a ziggurat called "House of the Platform of Heaven and Earth" to please the gods, and it was filled with lush ceiling gardens. He had a beautiful empire that he was very fond of.

The Neo-Babylonian Era was a very successful time in history, but like all of the greatest empires, an end would come. Nebuchedrezzar experienced his empire fall earlier than most others. After only 75 years, the leader of the Persian Empire, Cyrus, conquered Babylonia and took complete control over the citizens and residents of the empire. Nebuchedrezzar was depressed, but he knew that he couldn’t do anything to stop Cyrus. Knowing this, he gave up all hope and the once powefull Neo-Babylonian Empire died and went down in history.
