PRESENTATION OUTLINE

✨NEPTUNE✨

BY YAJAYRA :3

DISCOVERY🔎

  • Neptune was the first planet to be discovered by using mathematics.
  • Neptune was discovered in 1846, by Urbain Le Verrier.
  • Neptune was named after the roman God of the sea by astronomers.
  • After the discovery of Uranus in 1781, astronomers noticed that the planet was being pulled slightly out of its normal orbit.

THE ROTATION🔃

  • Neptune goes around the sun 165 years.
  • A day on Neptune is 16 hours, 17 minutes and 36 seconds.
  • 1 orbit of the sun is 60,190 days.

THE WEATHER☁️

  • The temperature is -353 Fahrenheit and -214 Celsius.
  • Neptune has the wildest and strangest weather in the entire solar system.
  • It has huge storm with extremely high wind.
  • The storm is called the Great Dark Spot.
  • The storm is big as Earth.
  • The speed of the storm is 1,500 miles per hour.

Neptune has 13 moons.
The biggest moon is triton.
Triton is big as our moon.

MOON TRITON🌑

  • Triton is slowly getting closer to Neptune's surface.
  • Eventually, in a very long time, this moon will crash into Neptune.
  • Triton was discovered in 1846.
  • The distance 2,700km (1,680mi)

MOON NEREID🌑

  • Discovered May 1,1949
  • Discovered by Gerard kuiper
  • Distance is the 5,513,400km (3,425,900mi)

MOON NAIAD🌑

  • Was discovered September 1989
  • Distance is 54km (33mi)

MOON THALASSA🌑

  • Discovered in 1989
  • Distance 5,070km

HOW STRONG IS THE GRAVITY NEPTUNE?

  • Although Neptune is much bigger than earth, it's surface gravity is about the same as the surface gravity on earth. This is because Neptune is made of gases and it's not solid like earth. This makes Neptune very light for its size. The surface gravity on the Neptune is about 110% of the surface gravity on earth, so if you weigh 100 pounds on earth, you would weigh 110 pounds on Neptune.

THE LOCATION

  • Neptune is the eighth planet.
  • When Neptune and Earth line up on the same side of the sun, at their closest, they are only 2.7 billion miles (4.3 billon kilometers) apart.
  • Neptune, distance from sun 2,798,000,000 miles (4,503,000,000 km)

NEPTUNE'S RINGS💍

  • The rings were discovered in 1989.
  • It has 6 rings
  • The rings are made of rocks and dust

FAST FACTS📝

  • Mass 17 times more then earth.
  • Volume 57 times more than earth
  • Escape velocity 84,651 km/h (52,600mph).
  • Atmosphere hydrogen, helium, methane.
  • The age is 4.5 billion years
