Neptune's moons include Naiad, Thalassa, Despina, Galatea, Larissa, Proteus, Triton, Nereid, And the last 5 moons have not been named.

Neptune's smallest moon is unnamed and its diameter is 12 miles across. The largest is Triton, which has a diameter of 1,700 miles across.

Some of Neptune's moons have elliptical orbits, and some may vary in distance from Neptune during orbit.

TEMPERATURE ON NEPTUNE

-218 DEGREES CELCIUS IS THE TEMPERATURE OF THE UPPERMOST ATMOSPHERE

AGE OF NEPTUNE

NEPTUNE IS ABOUT 4.5 BILLION YEARS OLD

Neptune's composition is 80% hydrogen, 19% helium, and 1% other gases

Neptune appears blue because its atmosphere is composed of helium, hydrogen, and little methane.

Neptune is not visible from Earth because it is too far, but it's visible through satellites from earth.

Neptune has a ginormous storm of swirling gases. It is considered the "great dark spot". It is big enough to hold the earth and its speed is about 750 miles per hour.

THE GREAT DARK SPOT

PROBES SENT TO NEPTUNE

IN 1989 NASA SENT THE VOYAGER 2 DISCOVERING THE APPEARANCE OF NEPTUNE AND SOME OF ITS MOONS

For Neptune to sustain life, it is necessary for it to become solid, provide water, a breathable atmosphere, and temperature between -30 to 130 degrees Fahrenheit.
