FOOD

  • They eat caribou
  • They occasionally eat polar bear
  • They hunt seal to eat and use their skin for other things
  • They fish for fish to eat and to feed their pets like their wolf pups
  • They hunt whales to eat and get blubber

HOW THEY START THEIR CARIBOU

  • They cut their caribou into little pieces
  • They give the kids the eye ball and they give the fur the female
  • They would put the skin over the fire so it drys
  • Then they would put some seal blood to add some flavour
  • Then they would eat it, the shaman eats it first then the kids then the rest of the tribe

SHELTER

  • They build igloos for living in
  • They set up tents to live in
  • The move there tents to migrate
  • In the summer they use tents
  • In the winter they use igloos

ANIMALS

  • Caribou live in the arctic for their warmes
  • Seals,fish,and wolf lives in the arctic
  • Arctic Foxes also live in the arctic
  • They use wolf pups to pull their sleds in the snow
  • They migrate for their food

RELIGION

  • They believe in shamans
  • They also believe in the gods
  • They believe in Thor
  • Netsilik Inuits are the people of the seals
  • And sometimes the parents make up religions so the kids wouldn't go near the sea

WHY DOES THE INUIT MAKE UP RELIGIONS SO THE KIDS WON'T GO NEAR THE SEA

  • The sea is really really cold if you touch the sea your fingers will freeze in seconds
  • The sea is dangerous
  • You might drown because the Inuit doesn't know how to swim

TOOLS

  • Ulu-the women uses the ulu to cut the meat
  • Harpoon-the men uses the harpoon to hunt animals so the tribe can eat
  • Bow & arrow: they uses bow & arrows for hunting animals at long range now a days they use guns
  • Ulu #1: special knife that the inuit used was called an ulu. Ulus was used for skinning animals.
  • Ulu #2: preparing the animal skin,and butchering.

TOOLS # 2

  • They get materials at hand.seals,walrus,whales,and caribou

HOW THEY

  • They use animal skin to make their clothing
  • Sinews from the caribou's back and legs served as thread
  • These were dried and beaten until the fibres loosened and separated,then were cleaned .
  • Before being using the sinews they would soak the sinew in a bowl.

WHY DOES THE INUIT LIVE IN THE ARCTIC

The inuit live in the arctic
Because long long ago they use to live in Canada, where their food use to be but there was a big freeze where all the ocean freezes then their food walked all the way to the arctic so the inuit flowed their food

GAMES

  • They play games to see who is strength
