1. hazards of the Job

• Your boss is required by law to tell you about the dangers of the job
• including long term risks
• Ex: High noise level causing deafness

2. Job training

• ask about what job training you will receive
• if there's any safety equipment you're expected to wear ask about training in how to use it
• whether you will be trained for emergency procedures such as fires, chemical spills etc.

3. Emergency Equipment locations

• ask where to find things such as:
• fire extinguisher
• first aid kits
• other specialized emergency equipment

4. On the job Injuries

• ask who to get aid from if you're hurt
• who to report the injury to
• and of course again where to get first aid equipement

5. your own health/safety responsibilities

• always ask your employer if you have any more health and safety question
• don't do anything that would put you or your coworkers in danger, ask your boss for a safer task that you are more qualified for
• ask about health and safety meetings
• Remember safety first!
