- The heart of the city is the French Quarter, it’s been there for years
- Prominent cultural influences date to the French and Spanish colonial periods and the introduction of African slaves in the 18th century.

- It’s been influenced by the people and the cultures
- Like the architecture and the language are some examples of how it’s been influenced
- Some earthquakes and hurricanes would be Hurricane Katrina, there really weren’t any earthquakes but they felt a little bit of one 160 miles southeast of them
