THE PROBLEM

  • Shopping for clothes is too time consuming.
  • At stores, there is limited style and selection. Takes forever to find stuff. Have to visit stores one-by-one.
  • Online is better, but still have to visit each website one-by-one. Also, no recommendations.
  • Choose problem because it can be easily fixed by putting all store’s inventories into one area and creating recommend areas. If fixed, much time will be saved.

THE SOLUTION II

  • App will have multiple functions.
  • First is that you can look up clothes.
  • Can filter clothes by using different criteria like color, size, brand, popularity, and price.
  • If you like something, you can click on it to view more information, go to the website, and then purchase it.
  • Also, please note that since our app is combining all websites, some products may be repeated but just from different brands.

THE OUTPUTS I

THE OUTPUTS II

THE PROCESSING I

  • Our app will need to process lots of information.
  • Here is how our app will use the listed inputs to achieve the outputs:
  • For creating the search results, the app will first take all clothes and create a tab with the clothes and their information.
  • Will then be catergorized in different ways based off of their information.

THE PROCESSING II

  • Once something is searched, the app will scan over the information and name in order to find similar things that have similar names or infomartion.
  • When something is filtered based off of criteria, the app will remove all things that doesn’t match the criteria from what is looking for.
  • Will then display proper results.
  • Will require a complicated balancing equation.

THE PROCESSING III

  • App will also recommend clothing and fashion articles.
  • To do this, app will first log everyone’s history, all products’ histories, and articles’ histories.
  • Will include things like likes, dislikes, and clicks.
  • Will then look at the information of what the user typically looks at and find similar things.
  • Will then recommend these things.

THE PROCESSING IV

  • Will also look at all users’ histories and find similar people.
  • Will then recommend things that similar users like.
  • For recommending fashion articles, the app will especially prioritize the articles being newer.
  • Will also require a complex equation.

THE PROCESSING V

  • Here are some other outputs of our app:
  • To have our app display likes and dislikes, app will create a list of each and keep track.
  • To allow for purchasing the clothes, app will have a link to the original website, and when the product is clicked on, it will send you here.
  • To display the clothing information, app will take the information it has down and will use a special format which will translate the information to be displayed.

THE CHANGE

  • Luke and Elijah peer reviewed us.
  • Said everything looked good.
  • Did suggest a most popular, highest rated, and most trending page.
  • We are going to add this under the search area.
  • Can either veiw a list of this or filter products by this.
